Notes:

Boom Time - Post War USA Economy was growing, people had money to spend. House buying at a major high. Movie output and hence the need for music was at an all time high. TV Shows had live recorded musicians, many musicians under contract to big bands, studios and Movie and TV networks.

The live music scene was vibrant providing often month long residencies, working every night for good musicians. For Guitarists like Barry Galbraith it meant all day in the studio with gigs every night.

Post Bebop iIn Jazz Bebop had revolutionized the music in terms of melodic and harmonic complexity. Cool and modal Jazz was now bringing new concepts to the music. Songwriters were still writing songs for movies which were then covered by Jazz musicians.

A time of consolidating and clarifying some of the new harmonic aspects of music with innovation.
