Alisdair's Music Teaching Background

I have successfully taught many students world-wide; privately, in workshops, schools, colleges and universities. Many of my private students are long-term, study with me over a number of years, perform semi-professionally and maintain a career in another field. Some of them have become well known performers with Universal Music Group (UMG) and  other independent/smaller labels, and others teach. (There are a number of former students of mine who teach in the NY/NJ/CT tri-state area). Some just play for fun!  I have prepared students for college, university and conservatory entry and have adjudicated exams.  I use material from and have prepared students for the following exams:
